Education and Family


Dr. Evette has a Doctorate from Regent University, a Masters of Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University, and a Bachelors of Science in Economics from Texas Woman’s University. She has published in peer-reviewed academic journals and is a member of Emerald Insight. 

Dr. Evette is married to Mert who has been her ministry partner for more than 18 years and they have one daughter.

Hobbies and Fun Time


Dr. Evette has many things she loves... shopping for shoes, watching classic British television, reading the "Readers Digest" and coloring with map pencils. 


Dr. Evette enjoys decorating for parties, traveling with friends, and collecting piggy banks with her daughter. She has authored a children's book "Izzy's Really Big Bed" that is now available through Amazon.Com and Barnes & Noble.

Creativity and Development


Dr. Evette Hyder-Davis is a charismatic instructional designer and curriculum developer that designs faith based materials for pastors and leaders of the Christian community. Dr. Evette is serving the body of Christ and traditional organizations by training leaders to direct and develop followers according to biblical principles. She has been in ministry for more than 20 years, which has cultivated the creativity needed to design bible lessons, sermons, workbooks, and journals. Dr. Evette is committed to biblical truth through expository teaching which allows her to bring complex bible topics to the body of Christ through instructional design.

Career and Community


Dr. Evette serves as the Dean of Languages, Arts, and Social Sciences for Northern Virginia Community College, which is the second largest community college in the United States with more than 78,000 students. Dr. Evette has been an Associate Professor of Business, Finance, and Statistics for the University of Texas – Dallas and Texas Woman’s University. She has served as Coordinator of the online Master’s in Anthropology program for the University of North Texas and as the Teach Specialist for LeTourneau University helping to certify secondary and elementary teachers in the State of Texas. Dr. Evette has been an instructional designer for Tarrant County College and Logos University. She is certified in elementary and secondary education in the states of Texas and Virginia. Dr. Evette is a decorated veteran of the United States Army and has received the Kuwait Liberation Medal and the Army Accommodation Medal for committed service during Desert Storm. 

Dr. Evette serves her community by remaining actively involved with the Prince William County (PWC) Chamber of Commerce  Education and Innovation Committee, the PWC Economic Development Committee, the Virginia Women’s Network, and the Southeast Decision Science Institute for Statistics Professors. Dr. Evette has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated since 1996 when she pledged undergraduate at Texas Woman’s University – Kappa Nu Chapter. 


Dr. Evette, along side her husband, serves as the Mission Director for Faith Christian Church and International Outreach Center where she facilitates support for missionaries in the United States and around the world. She has touched communities throughout the world by serving in this leadership capacity.
